Study on the Preventive Measures for the Occupational Infection of Viral Hepatitis among Nurses

Abstract
|
|
|
Four cases of viral hepatitis among nurses were presented during the period
of 1 year, 1973, at Chonnain University Hospital, Kwangju, which were presumed to be related with occupational hazard. The author discussed the occupational risk for the infection and preventive measures for it.
The results were obtained as follows.
1. Four cases of viral hepatitis were presumed to be transmitted by oral or parental route during nursing or handling contaminated equipment’s.
2. From the fact 4 cases of viral hepatitis occurring among nurses during the period of 1 year, it was suggested that the nurse at hospital had a high occupational risk of viral hepatitis the careful preventive measures for it were to be required.
